We recently had a client bring in a portable Hard Disk drive with important information on it. he decided to “Watch a few YouTube Videos” and had a crack at opening the drive himself at home in his work-shop, subsequently rendering the drive unrecoverable with all data lost! – It turns out the drive was suffering an electrical fault with the PCB, and would have been a cheap and easy recovery if not opened.
There are NO User serviceable parts inside a HDD – If you data is important…Leave it to the experts… – Seeya next Friday 😉
